Quick News
March 4, 2017, is International Open Data Day. Check out the activities across Canada, including right here on PEI.
What is this about?
A regular meetup for civic-minded individuals to present / discuss open data. We won’t be studying books: we’ll study data sets. Check out this site for more information.
We aim to include engaged citizens, government actors (the blue shirts!), map geeks, librarians, software nerds, statisticans – anyone who is interested in Open Data and its potential on PEI.
Why PEI?
Inspired by a lightning talk at CODS15, some members of PEI Developers would like to join Ottawa, Montreal, and Toronto with a similar venture. (Based on the strong turn-out for our August warm-up, many others are interested.)
As with PEI Developers, this is a volunteer, non-partisan initiative. We’re open and inclusive.
When
We usually meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month; as of 2017, we are meeting less frequently. Our next meeting is TBA.
To reach us, please send an email to opendatapei@gmail.com . It is checked regularly but not necessarily every day.
